tripadvisorI don't think the exterior design is all that attractive, but the theater is nice inside and it provides a good place to see a show. It is located downtown, on the river and near a lot of good restaurants.
MoreAll the shows we've seen here are excellent. Dealing with the website and the box office is a different story. If you have season tickets, you need to contact them usually 2 months in advance of a performance if you need to make changes to the dates or times. Unfortunately, you don't always know what is going to happen over the next 2 months (like someone dying, for example, as in my situation). Their website is so confusing for subscription renewals that they have to provide a page of instructions to help you navigate it (and they tell you to print the instructions for the future). The website also has a tendency to blow up with internal errors. Because their website can't handle common situations, under some circumstances they require you to pay and then they'll issue a refund later. Most of the people in the box office are very nice, but the one I dealt with recently was rude and condescending. How unfortunate, since their shows are uniformly superb.
MoreThis theater is located in the absolute center of town and is a good place to see a show, even though there are not all that many events here. There are more modern theaters elsewhere in town. This one has a space age design. Some restaurants nearby.
MoreUnfortunately it's not very attractive, but it is functional and they have a lot of entertaining events here. Right in the middle of the business part of downtown with some good restaurants nearby so you can easily make a full evening out of it. Big plaza out front.
MoreThe Pioneer Centre for Performing arts was developed in the late 1960ts and is on the National Historic Register. 1500 seats. Interesting place.
