Mingus Mountain Academy is a Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations accredited facility that offers treatment and educational services for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk girls. Founded in 1985, the Academy is located in Prescott Valley, Ariz. The campus includes multiple dormitories, an educational center, a medical and clinical complex, an administration center and a spiritual growth center. Mingus Mountain Academy offers a variety of individual treatment and educational services, including Equestrian Program. It also provides extracurricular activities, such as hiking, camping and wilderness skills. The center also offers various clubs, such as science, drama, art, music, and student newspaper. The facility also includes a nondenominational church service.
