tripadvisorThe boat was beautiful and the crew was amazing!! We were spreading our father’s ashes, and the crew added so much to our experience. We rang the bell 5x as part of a sea burial and on of the crew took some video and gave it to us. My mom needed a bit of assistance on the ramp because the tide was out and they came and helped her down and up making it possible for her to come with us! That kind of attention from the crew was just the beginning of all the ways they helped us celebrate our father. Thank you so much!
MoreThe experience was powerful- as the sails were unfurled, you could feel how it must have been 50-100 years ago. The ship will be 100 next year!!The crew were friendly and the captain was capable, kind, and entertaining. We loved it and want to donate to the historical society so the SUVA can be around another 100 years.
MoreThey Schooner Suva ia a beautiful wooden sail boat. Almost 100 years old and we learned so much about Whidbey Island and Penn Cove. Crew was very friendly and helpful.
MoreSailing on the Suva was a fantastic experience where I was able to see Coupeville from the water while enjoying the fresh air and calming atmosphere of a sailboat.
MoreMy nephew, his wife and kids and I had a terrific time on the Suva! The crew of four—Captain Jonny Johnson, Jim Green, Chris Bradley, and John McClain—were especially great with the kids, letting them raise the sails and steer the ship. It was a wonderful and memorable experience--outpacing a thunderstorm at our backs, admiring the seals on the mussel flats, and just being in the company of a very fine crew on a magnificent boat. Coupeville is so lucky to have the Suva! Madelyn van der Hoogt
