The place was dirty and we constantly had people knocking on our door all night.It was not a good experience but the location was fantastic. It is walking distance to everything downtown and that part was nice.I would not probably pick this hotel again.

Was visiting St. Louis for the first time for a conference and this was one of the recommended places to stay from the organization. It was absolutely disgusting. The majority of the elevators were broken and the ones that were working were filthy. When we got to our room there were dirty sheets piled on our bed, the carpets were stained, and there were dead bugs on the tables. We requested a new room and this one was worse. The room number for this room was just written in sharpie directly on the wall. The pillows were stained with a brown liquid, the walls had brown smears, and the carpets were ridden with dark stains. After that we knew we had to leave. When we attempted to leave after being given two different rooms they tried to charge us for two rooms, the only reason we weren’t charged was because of the people organizing the conference stepped in. I wouldn’t wish this place upon my worst enemy. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

A week before we were due to leave on vacation the City Place Hotel in downtown St. Louis cancelled our prepaid reservations telling us they had closed following Labor Day. So...I was very, very disappointed they had closed and I had to stress about finding new accommodations.

you have to wait an hour to check in only to await a gross room full of cockroaches and food crumbs. The lobby had two escalators in which neither of them were working, and it smelled. Not a great vibe even just by sitting in the lobby

Wow how do you write a review on a place that you booked in to and turn up to find it closed? I wish I had read the reviews here before we booked, luckily we managed to get a room at The Hyatt just around the corner. at least now now one can book in now they have gone bust.
