tripadvisorGateway Island is my favorite place to get go when I want to be outdoors and still in the middle of the city! My daughter adores watching the geese and I love how nice and safe it is! 10/10 recommend!
Morea wonderful setting to take your children to feed ducks and various waterfowl centered outside the city but centrally located to eateries should one wish too partake. This area has been set aside to get away from the hustle of the city and just relax.
MoreThis is the perfect place to spend my lunch hours walking! I used to spend my lunch walking on the Greenway, but always felt uneasy about the seclusion. The trail at Gateway Island is kept up well, and the animal life is always fun to watch. They have ducks, and turtles, and very pretty birds.
MoreThis park used to be peaceful and classy. Now it’s surrounded by construction and the wildlife is leaving. There are picnic tables by the lake and clean bathrooms. The trails are still nice, but the scenery isn’t too good anymore. Do NOT go at night. It is dangerous at night.
MoreLooking very shabby now. Due to all the construction around I think the water is not flowing and is stagnant! Also saw signs that wild Canadian geese will be discouraged from being there. A park hating on wildlife?! The scenery is not so great now with all the steel and glass buildings going up all around. Maybe in about 10+ years if many more trees are planted!
