We stumbled across this park and were so glad we did. Absolutely beautiful parkland that was so tranquil during the time we were there

We caught the last day of the Seattle Aquarium sponsored salmon journey.This park was off the 169 and the entrance can easily be missed as you come around the bend.A bridge linked the park to the lot. Most of the volunteers were on the bridge pointing out the clean spots in the river where the salmon had already deposited their eggs. A few coho salmon in their bright red spawning colors were still seeking partners. It was hoped that with the recent rains that increased river levels and cooled water temperature more of the salmon would finally make their way up from the lake.Inside the park there was a large grassy area, covered seating and building for the restrooms. Pets were also welcome. We followed the main paved path and found ourselves surrounded with huge trees and followed it along the river for awhile. There were limited bicyclists and walkers on the path so it was very quiet and peaceful.

I am visiting from Pennsylvania and decided to walk the Cedar River Trail. I just happened to come across this park and was so very glad I did. So pretty there.

Arrived for the Parkrun and found a small bitument car park between the river and the road, and I understand there are other carp aprks around the park. The paths are wide and concrete and it is really pretty - beautiful large old trees (the cottonwoods were dropping their flowers), the clean running stream, lush green grass. The park has table and chairs and a toilet however the state of the toilets was a real negative - the mens was dirty & poorly serviced (it was around 9am on a Saturday so maybe just a bad night). Lots of people using the park - walking, running, cycling along with their dogs. Off the beaten track but a nice cool spot in the Seattle suburbs.

Great for walking, great for picnicking. Incidentally, the Green River Trail passes right through it, which is absolutely perfect for biking, jogging, or a leisurely stroll. Has its own free parking and a couple of signs about local wildlife and history. Nothing complex about this place, just a great way to spend a bit of an afternoon.
