Located on the south side across the Concho river from downtown San Angelo is the official city pool, Love Municipal Pool. Admission is $5/person, age 2 and under are free. Please note: NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS are allowed inside. For the budget conscious, eat before you go and use the free water fountain. Concessions are pricey and are inside a corner building by the bathrooms where seating is available. The bathrooms are large with plenty of room to change and shower. There are multiple seating areas around the pool, from stone tiered bleacher type seats to lawn chairs for sunbathing to tables with chairs around them. Shade is limited. The pool starts at a zero depth entry with water fountains for young children. The shallow end is large and has many water features and is divided into several unique areas, some with in-water seating. The deep end is only four feet deep. There are two large water slides but no diving boards. There are several entry/exit points around the pool. The pool can be very crowded during weekday afternoons with visiting day care centers and youth camps. There is no dedicated parking lot, parking is parallel and free on Avenue A. It is worth a visit!

It’s $5 per person to enter. It’s geared for families. Plenty of water spray fun and a couple of large slides with a 48in height requirement. They don’t allow outside food or drinks but do have a snack bar and the prices are reasonable. I’ve been a few times and have always found a place to put our stuff, but will warn that shaded area are limited. Plenty of lifeguard support.
