tripadvisorWe stopped here a couple of times. Nice board walk over looking a marsh. We spotted a bald eagle and two moose before we got to the parking lot.
MoreA great place for birders. Plenty of boardwalks, good for strollers/ wheelchairs. When we were there we were able to view a Bald Eagle nest through our bins . If you enjoy nature/ birding this place is worth a couple of hours of your time.
MorePotter Marsh is a nature center outside of Anchorage on the Seward Highway. It has a very nice long boardwalk with signage about its inhabitants. The boardwalk is handicapped accessible with viewing options for all. We visited every day looking for wildlife as we were staying close by and thanks to the long Alaska daylight hours in August. We saw several different birds, ducks, eagles (adult & juvenile), moose, bears, and a mink. Salmon were also seen in the stream next to the road and in the interior streams as well. This is a very nice nature break and a great opportunity to walk the boardwalk for exercise while looking for wildlife and birds.
MoreThis free nature area was beautiful! The board walk makes it easily accessible for everyone. We stayed about 30 minutes while enjoying the walk.
MoreVery cute boardwalk, accessible! Nice informational tablets. Bird boxes mean there are many swallows flying around (and eating the insects, nice!). Saw a moose, some ducks and songbirds. Salmon bridge, but not active yet (1st week of July).
