Welcome to Matoush Melodies Piano Academy: Why Study At My Studio? There are many reasons, including: I am a college educated professional pianist (over 20 years of classical training) who has been playing for over 30 years and teaching for 20+ so I teach the important foundation skills that amateur teachers do not; I include sight-reading, theory, and technical exercises. Your child or you will learn quickly and play the pieces/songs you love. I coach students to pass RCM and ABRSM exams and they consistently score in First Class Honors. The academy has a superior Yamaha 6'1 grand piano which helps develop technical and muscular strength. The academy provides 8 levels of achievement with prizes for passing and practice competitions. We also have informal performance opportunities every other month as it takes practice to perform well. In addition to the information performances every other month, we have 3-4 recitals a year at a professional venue. I make sure everyone at the studio has a wonderful, warm, encouraging, positive, and joyful experience as music is my biggest passion.
