tripadvisorNormally SpringHill are the locations I choose but this one left me disappointed in the room quality. It wasn't well cleaned with marks all over in the bathroom walls, a dirty shower curtain, all the light switches were dirty, half the shower mirror lights didn't work, and when I placed a washcloth on a hand hold in the shower it was loose. The bed was fine but definitely not the quality I expected here.
MoreI booked my hotel through the Marriott App. Once I got home and looked at my bank account found out my card was charge twice for the amount of $20 and $30 which I did not authorize. Although I had booked through the APP my trip was not listed on the MARRIOTT APP. Lady at the desk acted like she didn't see my reservation when I arrived and showed booking number from APPTried to call the Hotel directly this morning and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE.
MoreBooked this hotel last minute and very glad we did! Very clean, super comfy bed, spacious bathroom, and the room was very nice and large overall. Nice front door staff when we checked out and even had a complimentary breakfast. Highly recommend!
MoreHotel vibe changes from weekend to weekdays. On weekend the breakfast area is staycation families, on a Monday morning it's single business people and pilots. There's some design elements implemented by folks that apparently never lived in their design. Low clearance lighting fixtures in breakfast area. Two four-top tables placed so close together you can't use half the chairs. Get off the elevator and there's obnoxiously bright lights that could be used to land a 737 at nearby James M. Cox Dayton airport. Or do neurosurgery in the hallway. The room is bigger than my bedroom at home. Like seriously big - room to play Red Rover if you wished. But, the barn door to the huge bathroom in the room has a translucent panel that illuminates the whole room in the middle of the night...why....Finally the coffee maker was inoperable and shower curtain too short to avoid water on the floor.
MoreTo start, no one was at the desk when I got there. After I waited a while, someone came out. I had pre-checked in on the app, but none of the requests were met (such as an extra pillow and blanket). I was assigned to a room on the first floor. I walked in and immediately started gagging. The room reeked so bad of urine, and it was evident that animals had been in the room. I had to hold my breath and walk out immediately because I was so disgusted by the smell. They informed me at the front desk (after waiting again bc no person up front) that yes animals were in that room. I then had requested an animal-free room, but I was told that animals are allowed to be in all of rooms in the entire hotel. They do not have any animal free rooms (why not???). I did get assigned to another room, which was better, but still had a slight animal smell to it. By the next morning, my son’s allergies were acting up. The entire hotel smelled! The breakfast selection was one of the worst of any Springhill Suites we have ever been to. Not a single waffle, bagel, pancake, or piece of toast. They did not have any waffle makers either. It was barely a breakfast. I will never stay at this hotel again.
