The eye-catching 21c Museum Hotel is a delight to visit and even stay in Louisville, Kentucky. From the moment you step into this hotel, visitors often have the impression of touring a fine art museum with fabulous contemporary artwork displayed all along. The rooms are artfully decorated, which is as expected, and make for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Born out of creativity and turn-of-the-century warehouses, this was the brainchild of the Deborah Berke Partners firm and is a popular space to tour or stay in the city.

tripadvisorCame to the museum with the family expecting to have a family friendly event only to learn upon arrival that they were hosting a private event limiting half of the museum. Never seen anything on their website about the private over the past few days. Poor communication and very discouraging. I would highly deter anyone from wasting time, effort, or energy on the hotel or museum with the significant chance of disappointment.
MoreAfter staying at a few suburban hotels for business travel in Louisville, I found 21c for multiple stays in 2026. The rooms were always comfortable, meticulously cleaned, well maintained, and stocked with amenities I expect of a hotel of this category. Staff was friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant has interesting and high quality seasonal menus. Room service breakfast was always prompt and good quality. I also enjoyed getting to see rotational art displays in the gallery attached to the lobby.
MoreMy worst hotel experience ever: I booked with Hotels.com and the hotel didn't respect my booking and transferred me to an inferior hotel nearby.I will never rebook with this hotel chain.
MoreWe are on a mission to stay in all the 21c Museum hotels--now we have 2 to g. This one was their first, and as the flagship, it's pretty good.As in all the 21c hotels, the room are spacious and with nice decor. This one , unlike some of the others, has convenient electrical outlets! I found the art galleries here less ambitious than other 21cs.All in all, as expected.
MoreI booked with this hotel through my credit card travel portal as a part of their premier partnership program. When I checked in no one seemed aware of the benefits that were supposed to be included in my stay and I had to talk to the front desk multiple times to receive the credits and vouchers that were supposed to be included as outlined in THEIR handout when I checked in. At checkout I got home and found a double charge for my stay and an additional charge for a weird amount and some change. I contacted the hotel immediately and was told a refund amount that would show in a few days and that the weird amount was for incidentals, I've never heard of incidentals not being an even amount but sure. The refund that posted several days later was not for the amount I was told and also didn't match what I was charged. I then contacted the hotel again and was transferred to their account management voicemail and was never contacted back.I then contacted my credit card company to let them know the issue. They said they would request a response from the hotel and I haven't heard from anyone in a few weeks. I then see ANOTHER charge on my card today. This hotel can't seem to get their billing together and I regret ever giving them my card information. Our stay was pleasant but the aftermath has been a huge headache and I would never recommend a stay with them.
