tripadvisorMy husband and I enjoyed the haunted history tour. We are from Bowling Green and learned new things about the downtown buildings. The tour hosts were quirky and entertaining!
MoreThe Backstories and Backstreets of Bowling Green history tour was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable, witty, and entertaining. The night before, our group had also done the Murder Mystery Tour and it was also outstanding! It was a beautiful Kentucky evening and we learned fascinating history of this smaller town. Highly recommend.
MoreI've done this tour all 3 years and it's wonderful! This year new stories and history were added. I always enjoy this tour as the guides have worked so hard to learn more about the history of our town. They take the history seriously and it shows. Great story-telling and entertainment! It's great for all ages, as long as you get around well. It is a walking tour. Sometimes small children can be distracting & I don't think it's enjoyable for real young ones.
MoreI've done this tour the last 2 years in October. The guides have done an excellent job of gathering local history and the storytelling is top notch! We didn't have anything spooky happen while we were on the tour, but thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the town where we grew up. The tour is a little over a mile walking with breaks to stop and hear the stories. It lasts about an hour and a half. If you have someone elderly or who isn't up to a big trek, it might be helpful to park a car down by the cemetery on 5th Street (I think that's the street, it's the cemetery near SkyPac) for the long walk back to the square. There is one building that you can enter voluntarily, it's up a set of stairs into the old Spot Cash building. It's really interesting to see inside there and learn about the history of the place, but the tour normally goes up in groups and it's not mandatory to go inside. There are no bathroom breaks on the tour, so just bear that in mind. As a note, the mailing address is different from the meeting address, which is Spencer's coffeehouse on the square. I will definitely do this tour again and hope that it continues to be a local success and the tour grows!
