tripadvisorIn the tour of the Inman Park Arboretum we visited the center of the Inman Park Neighborhood and saw many beautiful and historic trees. We walked by historic homes and buildings and learned the early history of Inman ParkTour Docent Lynn, was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, passionate, and very engaged with the topic. The tour was well organized and exhaustively researched.
MoreSandy was our tour guide in a bright green shirt who carried a photo album. The meeting spot itself was a historic building which is now Parrish Cafe. Every few steps, there was something wondrous to see...the variety of trees, plants, the condos/lofts converted from warehouses/manufacturing-assembly buildings. I got a great feel for history of atlanta from the late 1800s and the ongoing sustainability efforts to rejuvenate many abandoned industrial locations. I dont want to describe everything and spoil the thrills you experience when learning about many facts for the first time. I can leave you with one comment - now i know the significance of that rhino head :)
