Attending a multi-media class at The Woods Art Studio was the unexpected highlight of our trip to Santa Barbara. This is not a paint and wine class like so many restaurants offer. The instructor, Leann, is amazing. She told us artistic ability--which I don't possess--wasn't needed. Just the willingness to open ourselves to the experience and the desire to have fun. My friend and I went to her studio, which is nestled in a beautiful outdoor setting with a view overlooking a canyon, with a bottle of wine and no idea what to expect. Leann is a fantastic teacher and we spent the next 2 1/2 hours having so much fun and creating paintings that will always remind us of our trip. The class was well worth the cost and I would highly recommend it as a family event (older kids would love it), bachelorette party, couples night or just to meet new people. I am so glad we tried this class and I'm sure anyone else who goes will enjoy every minute.
