Pagoda & Oriental Garden Botanical Garden ·$

Situated right near the waterfront in Downtown Norfolk lies this beautiful two-story pagoda, a gift from Taiwan in the early 1980s to honor Virginia's commercial ties with Taiwan. Formally known as the Marine Observation Tower, the pagoda also stands as the centerpoint of the Oriental gardens that surround it. In the gardens, visitors will find traditional features like an arched bridge, cherry trees and waterfalls. A perfect location for a pleasant day outdoors in Norfolk.

This is a small area, free to walk around with a koi pond. Few ornate pieces as well. Lots of greenery, people relaxed - reading

I would take a pass. Empty building with peeling paint. Zero signage. Basically deserted and grounds not well maintained. We did enjoy the koi fish for 60 seconds.

Very nice place, big variety of plants and trees. Highly recomendable to visit with the family or to walk with pets. Also the area is very safe.

This is a beautiful little Asian garden that was gifted to Norfolk by Taiwan. Asian foliage surrounds a pond and a short walking path. The restaurant was closed, but its pagoda inspired architecture is beautiful. It will just take a few minutes to walk through and it's worth a look.

Beautiful landscape. Online it says it is a restaurant, but door was locked and it looked inside in disrepair. Outside garden area and building beautiful.
