We were very surprised with how much we enjoyed our stay in Bend. The Ale Trail app was a great guide for us as we tried to check out numerous different breweries across different parts of town.

Downloaded their Bend Ale Trail app and set off to seeing a few of the destinations. First two stops and no one knew anything about a code for the app. Thought we'd get the Outer Rim knocked out so started with C.R. Brewing in Prineville as our first stop. Order lunch and a few drinks, when asked about the code the employee looked at us like a deer in the headlights. Long drive and came up empty. Later in the day we swung into Worthy and had the same experience. The app seems like a great way to see the Ale Trail, good idea but it doesn't seem like the employees know anything about it. If you want to do the Bend Ale Trail find a passport, the app is a waste of time

This will get you out visiting all the brew pubs in the city. We checked them all off during our two week vacation and definitely had a great time doing it. My wife and I always did a sampler between us, otherwise, it’s just too much beer. Seems food trucks are everywhere, so you won’t go hungry at the pubs. Each has a different vibe, so tough to pick a favorite.

Our fhe family enjoyed visiting 10 of the breweries on the Bend Ale Trail. Each was unique and many of the beers were excellent. The food was quite good at several of the breweries as well.

We read about this before our trip and it certainly made our exploration of local breweries more fun. Don't forget to check out the extra (non-brewery) places to go for additional prizes. We especially enjoyed Humm Kombucha. All the breweries had their own character and everyone was very supportive of just sampling the various beers, but don't forget half pours are a great option if you're trying to go to more than 1 in a day :)
