Cabrillo Marine Aquarium's collection of sea creatures is impressive, and best of all, it's free. The aquarium features huge free-standing water tanks, wet laboratories, a space for exhibits (both indoor and outdoor) as well as an office space. Most of the marine life that you will find in this aquarium is native to Southern California and it also showcases educational displays and programs of marine biology. A visit to this humble aquarium can be quite rewarding and a great learning opportunity to learn more about the mysteries of the marine ecosystem.

tripadvisorNot as good as Pacific Aquarium
MoreIt's a good education place, not only for the kids, also for adults, too. People are friendly, place organized very well. Parking is $1/hour. Better give yourself at least two hours. After, you can walk on the beach.
MoreThis aquarium packs a punch. No entry fees but donations accepted. Throw in a $5 bill or more in the donation box it's worth it. Many displays and live fish. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. As a bonus, parking is only $1 per hour and the lot gives you access to the beach and a trail to the tide pools.
MoreVery pleasantly surprised at how nice this aquarium is, especially for free! (Donations accepted). And outside is a nice park and beach area to enjoy. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
MoreDid not expect for this to be one of the best experiences for my family. This place is truly a gem, with a ton of information
