The best thing about this spa and salon is it’s location, (the gorgeous Historic Davenport Hotel). If you choose to book an appointment for a pedicure here, I have some tips that may help make your experience a little less disappointing than mine.1) Buy a gift card from the salon and use that to pay for your service. This way, you can choose to tip what is appropriate rather than the mandatory 20% they help themselves to when you pay with a credit card.2) Choose the “Express Pedicure” —there is no value added with the extra $25 for the “Signature Pedicure” apart from the addition of the paraffin treatment. I opted for the “Signature” which their menu describes to include a “relaxing foot and leg massage”—I received a swift application of lotion over my legs and feet, no massage whatsoever, which was the primary reason for my visit.3) Bring a bottle of water. There was no water or tea to sip on while I waited for the nail polish to dry.To be fair, the spa does provide a nice changing area with secure lockers and thick cozy robes. They have showers and a steam room available for your use—complete with combs, brushes, razors and other such things. The “Serenity Room” has glasses and mugs— all great if you are lucky enough to be there when they have the water available. In short, The Davenport Spa & Salon falls way short of expectations on delivery as advertised. I recommend trying one of the many other spas in the area.

Relaxing, luxurious place for spa treatments! Mimosa before the massage, herbal tea afterwards, steam room, all the nice things. Kayleigh did a fantastic massage. Definitely want to visit here again!

If you get a chance to visit the Davenport Spa, do it! I had a massage and pedicure on New Year's Eve, and even though it was a fully booked day, it didn't feel crowded or rushed. My massage therapist was Susan, and her 28 years of experience shows. I think it was the best massage I've ever had. When I booked my appointments, I was disappointed that they only had time for a 60 minute instead of a 90 minute massage, but it turned out perfectly, and I was very well taken care of. Susan is just so good! Something else I really appreciated was not being rushed out of my pedicure chair to make room for the next client. Another popular hotel spa will move you while your toes dry, to make room for the next person. I bought a gift certificate for a friend, and I will definitely be back. Thank you, Davenport Spa!

I called last min seeing if anything was available- all they had was an express massage right before closing. I still received awesome service, a glass of champagne and a steam room experience. Nothing was rushed and it was a fabulous experience.
