Shortly after Kind Design opened, I went in to ask if they did wire-wrapping, or could recommend someone who did...I met none other than Julia herself, who was so very kind and patient in speaking with me about my needs...she even went so far as to take my name, number, and email, in case she found someone who could help me. Julia is very down-to-earth, and went the extra mile by spending time with me. Kind Design is unique and different, just what I look for in an artist! Julia's work is beautiful, inspiring, and original, and a wonderful addition to the area! A definite must-see!!!

There are lots of crafting classes out there but this one beats them all. The gallery owner and artist Julia Vanover does a fantastic job as an instructor. With just the right amount of demonstration and guidance we were all able to sculpt and glaze a beautiful 5 inch candle votive in under 3 hours. Snacks and chocolate martinis were available when we needed a break from the creative process. Even though we were following a design pattern, each of our projects came out different and beautiful. I can't wait to pick up my project next week when it comes out of the kiln. I will definitely take another class here - this was a fantastic experience!Julia also sells sculpted light fixtures, jewelry, paintings, and prints an the prices are great. It's the perfect place to pick up a unique gift.
