tripadvisorA recent stay when horribly wrong. The building is nice and rooms were great. The breakfast which lacked any food was the real problem with this place. The start of the day was based around getting the kids prepped with an early breakfast and that went right out the hotel door. At 0930, there was no food or any service. I stood with kids waiting to be seated while watching the single hostess providing services to all tables make her rounds and responses where possible. This was clearly a lack of staffing which resulted in no breakfast for many folks. Other than this hiccup, the hotel is nice and a great location.
MoreBartender was extremely rude about her tip. Very unprofessional. After reading their google reviews it seems like it’s happened multiple times.
MoreThis is the first of MANY Hilton property stays I have had this happen. It is the only time I have had absolutely NO free breakfast offering. Continental, buffet, or otherwise. The buffet was an additional $25, and the Continental breakfast was a pay per item line. The staff got upset with me when there was no 1/2 & 1/2 at the coffeestation, and I poured some from the Continental food line. Additionally, the 24-hour coffee, which was supposed to be freshened at 4 a.m. In my 4 day stay, it never was. In fact, on my last day, the pot was missing at 4, with no sign of the overnight clerk. There wasn't even hot chocolate or hot water. She finally emerged with a fresh pot at 4:55. I need my coffee first thing in the morning. If those things don't matter to you as they do me, this was a decent place to stay. The building and surrounding area were clean and well maintained. But if I were to return to Bellevue, I definitely would NOT stay here.
MoreStayed here on a recent business trip. First impressions were great. The reception area is bright, modern and slick. The staff at reception were great, engaging and polite and I was safely checked in and on to my room, in good time. My room, a suite on the 3rd floor, room 340, was large, spacious and on first impressions, good. However, it’s the details that show an average hotel to a great one. The shower door was ill fitting, meaning water cascaded over the floor every time you took a shower. There was no shower gel in the shower gel container in the shower cubicle. The room wasn’t serviced once in the 3 nights I stayed. There were no caffeinated coffee pods supplied with the coffee machine, only decaffeinated. It’s the details. The breakfast buffet was expensive for what you got - $28 - small selection of bakery products, break etc. Plus scrambled egg, bacon, sausages and breakfast potatoes. There were also a limited selection of yoghurts, fruit juices and coffee. Be wary of looking carefully at your receipts, too. The breakfast buffet had a pre-filled “gratuity”, with further options for a tip - this despite it being open seating and entirely self service. This being America, I was prepared to offer a tip, but when I saw the pre-filled gratitudes, declined to do so. This felt a little underhand, especially as a European not wanting to fall foul of the tipping culture in the US.The positives are that this is hotel is a great location, it’s modern, clean and spacious. However, the misses of the room not being serviced and the basics being missed in the room let it down somewhat. However, upon mentioning these issues at check-out, I wasn comped one of my breakfasts by way of an apology, which was appreciated. Secondly, the polite receptionist was very apologetic and understanding and did recognise that their service had fallen short on this occasion. It’s a bright, modern and safe hotel and my room was large, spacious and pleasant. I would stay here again, hoping that the small issues wouldn’t be recurrent.
MoreI left my collection of favorite earrings and a few necklaces in the hotel bathroom (items were not worth much, but were very valuable to me). I was very grateful to Jessica (I believe), who understood that I was very concerned about it, and helped by contacting housekeeping right away, and for the housekeeping staff who found my bag for me.PS - I hadn't been happy with our room, because we paid more for a corner room and requested an upper floor. They put us on the lowest floor and said they couldn't do anything about it, so we had to keep the light curtains closed because the room was so visible from the street. It kind of made it worse that there was a sign in the lobby that said if you are unhappy with something we will make it right, but they did not attempt to do anything when we had what was to us a very undesirable room, because we value being able to have the curtains open. But, it's still 5 stars because Jessica & housekeeping were so helpful with the forgotten jewelry.
