tripadvisorGreat location not far from airport car rental, and plenty of car parks on site. We checked in using app, and went straight to room. Arrived at around 1:30am and wanted some water, went to reception and very accommodating, bottles of water and snacks provided straight away. Slept very well, and woke up and had the breakky next morning, all very nice and easy. Room was spacious, quiet and not what I expected from an airport hotel. Will definitely stay here again. Staff very friendly and facilities clean and modern. Room had plenty of space.
MoreHad first floor room, A/C thermostat DID NOT WORK AND ACTUAL AIR CONDITIONER WOULD WORK FOR TEN MINUTES THEN NOT WORK FOR HOURS. Was told by front desk staff manager would reach out and make it right in terms of bill, but have never heard anything. And I am lifetime Diamond member who has stated here several times!
MoreStayed here the night before our flight out of the Phoenix airport. Convenient location to the airport. Front desk staff was friendly. Included breakfast was good. Hotel was quiet and not very busy during our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend if need a hotel close to the airport.
MoreI have stayed at this hotel numerous times previously and always had an amazing stay. I booked a room and used the hotel to park my car when I flew out of Sky Harbor. So first problem was the room..the bed was so soft and worn that I literally fell into a hole, it was the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. I informed the front desk about it that morning before heading to the airport and was basically dismissed, I told him that someone should fix it.The biggest issue was the shuttle service on the way back. I called the front desk upon retrieving my luggage and she told me to call her back once I walked outside to the curb. What? It took me three minutes to walk outside to the curb, where I promptly called her back. She told me that it would be a Holiday Inn shuttle that would pick me up, I waited about 25 minutes and a shuttle from Holiday Inn pulled up but he said it didn’t service my hotel. So I called the hotel front desk back. She said she would find out what was going on, but 40 minutes from when I called I ended up booking an Uber to drive me back. I had traveled all day and then had a 3 hour drive home, so this sealed the deal for me. Management reached out, but we’ll never return. They really need to get their act together.
MoreGenerally, I have been very happy with Hampton Inn, and if you are staying in a room other than a standard king, then the hotel is very comfortable and nice. However, if you are sensitive to light at night, be aware that the standard king room has a smoke detector positioned directly above the head of one side of the bed. The detector has a small light that shines directly down onto your head, and, at least in the room we were in, the light changed intensity periodically. I am very sensitive to light, so it kept me awake. Luckily, I had an eye mask with me so that helped, but I prefer not to sleep with one. I complained to the desk in the morning, and they said all the standard king rooms are set up that way. They did not offer a refund, but did upgrade my room on a future reservation to a king suite which did not have the same issue. I would not submit a review except that I want to make people who are light sensitive aware so they can reserve a different room type or a different hotel!
