tripadvisorGift card Fiasco! I received a gift card from my husband to get a massage at the Woodhouse Spas. When I went to use it at the location by me in Durango Colorado I found out that they had abruptly closed with no notice. I contacted the corporate office to receive a refund for the card as there are no close locations to me to receive any service. They initially responded and asked for a copy of the card and gave me a case number. I sent the requested information and was informed they would get back to me in the next four or five days. They never have. I have emailed them several times and I am being ghosted. I am very disappointed in the lack of a reply from their corporate team. It is a BAD BUSINESS to deal with. Not happy to be out of the money ($125) spent on the card. DO NOT BUY GIFT CARS FROM THIS COMPANY!!
MoreI waited for one hour until I went to check about their delay and found out that I wasn't checked in but they charged me as a no call-show On top or that I was yelled at by Katie when I asked her why they even charged me for their mistake. She was rude when I told her that she didn't have any right to rise her voice at me; she made the mistake but I paid for it. Now, I have to wait days until I got a refund, unbelievable!
MoreI ordered $200 bath robes from this spa. They never called to tell me they came in after waiting almost a year. They said the items would take a long time since they came from France. I have ordered furniture for my remodel from other countries that have come in already. I would go in about every month to check if the robes were in. I called every month. No one seemed to know what I was talking about. I left my name and a detailed reason why I was calling each time. When I called this week, they said they were in but never had a way to get a hold of me?! Sounds very dishonest. I had paid for the robes with a gift card. The owner remembers the day I went in. Now they don't have ANY record of my payment because of switching systems. Overall very disappointed at how this was handled. I will not be spending my money here again. Go to Foliage on the west side of ELP for a relaxing, wonderful spa experience!
MoreBad experience at the El Paso Woodhouse. My daughter gave me a $200 gift card on July 2021. I didn't use it then because the pandemic was still hovering over us. I decided to use it this week. The clerk would not take my card because she said it had expired. I explained the card did not have an expiration date on it to which she explained that they didn't have them before but now they do and for the ones that didn't have them, the company would expire them after 3 years. She then realized i was still within the three years and she called the manager who proceeded to research the card and told me the funds had already been used elsewhere and the card was no longer valid. I had the card in my possession the whole time, how could someone else have used it? Here's the kicker, they still charged me a wanted to cancellation fee!!! I've taken the next step which is to report them to BBB and while doing so, found their rating to be less than ideal. Beware, gift card might mean gift card for them
MoreBe careful if you have a gift card. I had a $350 gift card and Woodhouse Spa cancelled it after 3 years with $200 left on card. They had my e-mail and phone number and could have informed me that it was about to expire, instead they just kept the money. When discussing with the general manager she was unpleasant and no help. Will not be returning even though the massages are good and surroundings very pleasant. Customer service has a lot to be desired. Glenda Martinez
