If all you want is a place to sunbathe and wade in the York River, while others in your group fish on the Gloucester Point Fishing Pier, this is the place for you. It's quaint. It has a playground for the children. And, it has a couple picnic shelters too. Did I say it's quaint? There's a concession stand here too, but it's not open to any great extent. Be sure to bring your own.

Fishing Pier is free to the public. No fishing license required. Can get busy during peak fishing times. No benches, bring a camping chair. No bait & tackle shop in immediate area. Will be returning. Cool pier.

You can fish off the docks without a fishing licence.Walking distance to historical sites, bar, waterman's museum, resteraunt.

Back when I went to daycare, we took a trip here. My friends and I had a great time! You can have fun swimming in the deep, blue oceans, drop food for the seagulls, fish, and so much more! This area features a playground, outdoor showers, and picnic huts as well, and many other things are present, too! Enjoy and relax!
