tripadvisorPlace is a joke sons 12u baseball team stayed on campus for 5nites arcade wasn’t open once, only takes electricity to run video games. Laser tag never opened. Do yourself and team a favor go somewhere else.
MoreBallparks of America is a great facility to play ball. We were there for the weeklong experience 3rd week of July. The fields are in great shape and kids loved playing on them. Tournament was well run. The dorms and showers were great. They left the lights on until midnight and kids pretty much spent every minute playing blitz ball until then. They also keep the shops and ice cream place there open late as well so kids can get anything they might need until lights go out. For the kids the food was pretty decent my son said much better than Cooperstown. If you are looking for that Cooperstown type weeklong experience after you age out this is it. Great facility and the people working there were great as well.
MoreWhile the fields and dorms are nice, I would caution against teams spending their hard earned tournament funds here. None of the teams' tournament jerseys were ready when we arrived and we are a month out and our pre-ordered tournament shirts are still not delivered or refunded (we were supposed to pick them up while there). When asking for status on shirts, there is no one from management who will respond- it's just teenage summer workers who have been put in a bad position. Other than the dorms and fields, the rest of the facility is run down and desolate. Please save your teams' money and go for a better managed organization.
MoreI really wanted to love Ballparks of America. Unfortunately, beyond the actual fields, I wasn't very impressed. The buildings are the former Factory Merchants Outlet Mall. There was literally detached metal hanging from exterior surface walls. The grandiose plans appear to have never came to fruition. However, the replica fields are worth a look for the Major League Baseball fan.
