Having been in Hotel Sales Department for more than 25 years exprience with top hotels in Century City and Beverly Hills, I was reluctant to stay here but had lived in the Malibu area those 25 years. We actually thought the Hotel we booked was a Resonance . The facilities were recently renovated and not bad. The area of concern was cleanliness. In our 3 night stay we never had fresh towels or sheets until we asked (more than three times.) Wet towels and wash cloths remained on the floor. I do not think we ever had anyone ever enter the room until the final night. We did not ever use the do not disturb tag. Our final night we confronted the floor maid who finally changed our sheets and gave us one set of towels.I pointed out to my wife a water bottle cap on the hallway floor from our first night still there...and a room across from us a load of trash from a take out dinner still there. Now that I looked more closely at their website I think it stated housekeeping and towels on request only!! REALLY!! I NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH BAD HOUSKEEPING SERVICE.We complained not just once but twice and on check-out Darren the Front office Manager, promised to adjust the rate. So far nothing appears on my AMX.

I was a little reluctant to stay here based on some of the reviews, but I’m glad I did. I stayed for 4 nights in mid-April and had none of the issues that others experienced. The room and common areas seem to have been newly renovated. The paint looked fresh and the hallways had a new carpet smell. The hotel has been there for a long time, so any renovations are limited by the original construction. Ceilings are a little lower than new hotels, and the rooms don’t have floor to ceiling windows. You’ll notice a few other things like that. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful from the front desk to the restaurant to the attendant in the lounge. There is plenty of parking, and the location is very close to 101, but we did not hear any road noise from our room on the back side of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again, and I intend to when I’m back in the area in a few months.

Do not stay at this hotel!!! They may say they are part of the Marriott Bonvoy family but they are actually owned by Khanna Enterprises which doesn't provide the same level of service that a normal Marriott-owned company would. If they can't take care of a lifetime Gold member during a personal emergency then why even bother being a loyal customer. Shop around when you're looking for hotels in the Thousand Oaks area and look up Khanna to avoid their hotels, horrible customer service.

Hotel is filthy and AC doesn't in many of the rooms. Roaches in the rooms! Don’t stay at this hotel. The GM Rob Kravitz has no idea how to service the customer or provide a solution.

This is a very nice hotel and has the potential to be 5 star. The location is not an easy walk to anything, but it’s a short drive to many options for food/drink and shopping. They have great beds and very nice rooms, and a neat outdoor space with fire pits, and nice small bar, decent gym, and a basic restaurant for breakfast. They have a pool, but we did not go out to it. The staff is very friendly and they quickly responded to our two issues - AC did not work and after 3 tries we had to change rooms, and the TV kept “glitching” and eventually had to be “reset” as it apparently overheated. So, it was great that they fixed all the issue, but who wants to deal with issues? The manager was sympathetic and also gave us two complementary breakfast buffet coupons - much appreciated! So, the staff and setting is great, but next time I hope our stay is a bit more issue free.
