The artists who exhibit and teach at the Handsome Cab are amazing. It's such a pleasure to have a chat with them. If you love local art and want to promote regional talent, stop by! You'll be delighted every time!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised that there is an art gallery above The Handsome Cab restaurant and wine bar! As far as I can tell, there is nothing else like this in York, and it was a breath of fresh air to be able to walk through an art exhibit and admire the paintings and art work of local artists. If you have deep pockets, you could also purchase the art work. We will definitely be back to admire all of the local artists' work again! One note: This gallery is on the 2nd floor of the building, and I did not see an elevator, so it could be a problem for someone with mobility issues. (Although perhaps there is another entrance to the 2nd floor that I did not see.)

Grab a glass of wine downstairs at The Handsome Cab and wander upstairs to see local artists at work, or their work hanging on the walls and in the spacious Cab Gallery! You can buy beautiful artwork right then and there - we did!!:))
