tripadvisorIf you're looking for a luxury black car service, this probably isn't it.If you're looking for an affordable, dependable ride with free car seats, great communication, and real people who care, Mickey's Star Shuttle is an easy recommendation. We traveled with our four-month-old daughter and three-year-old son, and having complimentary car seats, flexible scheduling, and not having to prepay took so much stress out of our Disney trip. Traveling with little ones can feel like moving a small village, so every bit of flexibility mattered. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how refreshingly old school everything felt.Mickey actually answers the phone. He keeps a handwritten reservation book. You talk to a real person instead of navigating an app or endless automated messages. My brother jokingly said, What if we accidentally called a time machine and someone answered in the '80s? Honestly...he wasn't far off.The vans have that same nostalgic charm. They reminded us of the airport shuttles from Home Alone. They're not flashy, and they've clearly helped a lot of families get to Disneyland over the years, but they were clean, dependable, on time, and exactly what we needed. We even got a few smiles pulling up to Disney's Grand Californian.A special thank you to our driver, Casey. He might seem a little gruff at first, but before long he was sharing stories about Los Angeles, pointing out landmarks, and telling us about the iconic Theme Building at LAX and the futuristic architecture that helped define an era. We also learned he's a longtime musician, which made for a fun and memorable ride. What stood out most, though, wasn't the van.It was the people. In a world where almost everything happens through apps, automated texts, and chatbots, there was something genuinely refreshing about calling a real person who simply said, I've got you.Sometimes low-tech isn't a weakness.Sometimes it's exactly what makes a business feel personal.Mickey's Star Shuttle isn't trying to be the fanciest transportation service in Southern California. It's trying to be honest, reliable, flexible, and affordable. After our experience, I'd say they absolutely succeed. We'll gladly ride with Mickey again.
MoreAVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Booked weeks ago for trips to and from the airport. The vehicle from the airport was late, gross and generally in poor condition. Despite confirming with the service for our trip from the hotel to airport, no driver appeared and we were told it would take at least another 45 minutes for a vehicle.
MoreOur driver was very friendly and knowledgeable gave us many wonderful tips, was an excellent friendly ride. And a wonderful way to start out our day. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone
MoreTerrifying drive. The van was old, had engine light on, low tire pressure light, and oil lights all on. The van was dirty. But the driver also seemed very old to me and when we got on the freeway, it showed. He was veering out of lanes. No signal to switch lanes. He almost hit a car right next to us and I was surprised we didn’t side swipe every vehicle we passed. It was extremely uncomfortable and scary to be in that vehicle. And I do hope that man stops driving completely for his and other people’s safety. Please don’t use this company even though LAX has it posted and information gives it out as a good option. It’s not. I wouldn’t have even known about it otherwise. Use Uber or Lyft because they are safer drivers and have clean, safe, vehicles. It was the same price anyway. I’m still shocked I arrived safely to my destination. But still traumatized by the experience. Now I know I should’ve said nvm when I saw the driver and vehicle. Please don’t choose this service. For the safety of your family and friends and everyone else driving in LA.
MoreI highly recommend Mickey Space Shuttle for anyone who goes to the Long Beach, Burbank, Santa Ana and LAX. They are on time very reasonably on prices. Staff is very friendly and professional. Vans are older but well kept up. They offer free car seats and have plenty of room for a manual wheelchair that folds up. I can’t say enough about Mickey Space Shuttle. Give them a try. Thank you again Bruce for all your help with our family. Thanks,Linda Watson
