I am so glad I took this tour. I heard about and looked at things that I otherwise would never have encountered. I left the tour with a laundry list of businesses to return, knowing their stories makes my patronage that's much more meaningful. Practically a local celebrity, several passer bys smiled, waved, and stopped for a quick chat with this friendly tour guide- proving his local authority and good vibes. Patrick will remind you but wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. It's about a two hour walk (on flat side-walks) and worth every step. This is a pay what you may tour which is pretty amazing in itself. To me that shows that Patrick truly wants to share his city with everyone and also work hard for potential tips as they are not guaranteed for him by choice. It's not boring either...Patrick add personal stories and engages with his audience with interest in them as well. My friend and I brought waters but he actually had some for us just in case too, a first class gesture. Highly Recommend! Enjoy!

What a fun way to learn more about our city's fascinating history. I've lived in or very near the Park/East/University neighborhoods since the 1980s and Patrick's tour was informative, fun, and a great reminder of why I choose to live around here. Too often I drive right by these landmarks and don't give them a second thought, and I appreciated slowing down and looking at the sites with a different frame of mind. We were given the options of which venues we wanted to go in or not, and a few places where we could check out the plumbing! Patrick has clearly studied the area thoroughly and can connect this info into local/state/national history -- and delivers the content with lightness, not lecture. I look forward to doing this tour again with a different group of friends and I am sure I'll continue to learn more and have a great time.Thank you, Patrick!

What a fun time! If you've got two hours, let Patrick take you on a walk around Rochester's Park Avenue area and you will surely learn something new! We explored a few well-known sites as well as some lesser-known stops, and were treated to entertaining insights on architecture, culture, and history along the way. Some of these venues I had visited or passed by dozens of times without knowing the story behind them or some fascinating details I never noticed. Highly recommended!

A perfect day! Patrick has fostered relationships with many of the local businesses and historic sites along the way, so that each stop brought us deeper into the living history of Rochester. It really brought home the idea that the past is truly connected to our present, making for rich experience!
