The University of California, Santa Barbara or UCSB is a renowned educational institution that dates back to 1891, when it was known as Anna Blake School. I traveled to UCSB for a college dance audition with my daughter. This campus is simply paradise found! Right on the ocean with a lovely lagune. We stayed on campus at the faculty club and guest house which has beautiful views of the lagune. Awaiting my daughter's college admission decision. Hope to be back to visit her on a regular basis especially in the winter when it is cold and blustery in our home state of Colorado. Tip, there is beach access on the south side of the lagune. Also, take a hike around the lagune for bird watching and beautiful views of the ocean. The campus is also lovely.

MoreHuge campus, we enjoyed seeing the Film School building as that was not here when we last visited. One STRONG piece of advice - AVOID Isla Vista! Upon walking through a few times we discovered it suffers with crime, and we even (scarily) witnessed a few drug deals going down. Stick to the campus area and don't cross into Isla Vista!
