I went to the cyclerama, film and museum and then a 2-hour tour with my sister. Les Fowler was our guide and I was so impressed by what he chose to share with our group and how knowledgeable he was. I was so excited to bring my husband back to experience what I had experienced. Our bus tour was guided by a different person and I was sorely disappointed. If I was to go back I would do a private guided tour with Les Fowler again because I know there is so much more information he has to share. I asked him for recommendation of a book in the bookstore, purchased that book and have been very very happy with that choice. Thank you Les!

We didn’t realize we needed to make reservations 3 days in advance, but the phone message recommended going to the ticket desk at 8am in morning to see if a guide was available. We were there before they opened, first in line at ticket booth and were able to hire a guide. We opted for a three hour tour and we needed every minute of it. Our guide, Bill Thomas answered all our questions, had maps that provided an overview of location and battles, shared crisp accounts of individuals in battles, impact of battles on farmers and others. Individualized tour was worth every penny. Highly recommend taking one.

Our Gettysburg Battlefield tour with Stuart Dempsey absolutely exceeded all of our expectations and was worth every penny (more, actually). There is no way you could get the perspective and depth of knowledge doing it yourself. We highly recommend Stuart in particular.

We booked a three hour tour of the battlefield and received a fantastic tour. Jessie knew the battle, battlefield and interesting historical details. Our tour included numerous stops where we were able to take in the site and get a picture of what took place. We all had a great time!

Called 2 weeks prior to visit, Bill Thomas, a licensed Battlefield Guide, called me back same day and discussed specific things we would like to do and see during our tour and where we would meet prior to the tour. The guide was extremely professional. He planned out our tour to allow us to see the highlights we were interested in. Bill was an unbelievable wealth of knowledge and was prepared with very detailed information about the battle and the actions of people and units from our hometown. He made the battle and history surrounding it come alive for my wife and I and our kids. We have a 9 and 14 year old and the guide would often find ways to include them n the tour. Will be doing this again next year.
