Sprawling across 80 acres, this spacious park is known for its sprawling lake tucked away in the San Fernando Valley. You can jog or walk along the lakeside as you watch the graceful swans and ducks glide through the water or enjoy a leisurely picnic beneath the Japanese Cherry Blossom trees. You can also indulge in activities like kayaking, biking and fishing. A children's playground will keep the little ones entertained while dogs run around in the grassy area. Barbecues, picnic tables and shady areas make this park a family-friendly locale.

tripadvisorLarge park with nice lake. Place to relax.
MoreBy far the best park in the valley. However, plan in advance if you need to rent a pavilion they are hard to get between mat and August. So plan accordingly. They have boats, bikes and lots of nature to see. It's always lots of room and plenty of parking. The store are close if you forget something for your gathering.
MorePeople here are friendly and helpful. I know because I was lost, asked around, and now... I have been found sitting in the parking lot.And I just took my first Pfizer vaccination at the Balboa Sports Center inside the park. The park’s huge, (baseball, football, soccer, tennis, paddle ball, racquetball, walking, running, sports center and more...). Across the street, golf course and restaurant vicinity. Maybe, it’s a country club.Great way to get exercise in to your day: local or tourist.
MoreWho loves a quiet day alone or social gathering with friends or family at the park? This place has it all- dirt bike park, lakes, tennis courts, golf, paved trails, benches, and plenty of ducks.Free parking, onsite bathrooms with hand washing sinks.
MoreAlthough the website might suggest otherwise, this park and recreational area are very much open for business. Whether or not the playground is supposed to be closed is unclear but academic. In this regard, the tape closing the playground area has been removed or taken down. So there were plenty of kids enjoying all of the playground amenities. As for the playground, the equipment is both impressive and expansive. Lots of things for young kids to do. There is also a 1.3 mile walk along the lake. Not much in the way of shade so best to bring plenty of sunscreen. The toilet facilities are adequate. Not great but I have seen far worse. All in all, a great place to visit and plenty of fun for the family.
