tripadvisorEntertainment complex next to the famous Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. It features an open-air shopping mall, several places to eat including the Hard Rock Cafe and a Johnny Rockets and it is the home of the Dolby Theater where the Academy Awards takes place. Along Hollywood Boulevard is the Walk of Fame where celebrities from the entertainment world have their names engraved on a star along the sidewalk. Although the area is very touristy and a bit tacky, since its opening, Hollywood and Highland has certainly spruced up what had become a pretty drab and run down area. There is also a convenient parking garage located here where you can get your parking validated if you spend a threshold amount within the complex.
MoreHollywood is very accessible through metro line from Downtown, Los Angeles. We were amazed of the places which we only saw in movies. Since we visited Hollywood early in the morning, we were able to capture great photos by ourselves. This is a happy and starry place.
MoreHollywood and Highland is one of the hubs in Los Angeles and definitely a place to visit. They have a large mall here called Ovation Hollywood, the famous Walk of Fame, the huge historical Dolby Movie Theatre, and lots of entertainment.El Capitan, Ghirardelli's, and the Chinese Movie theatre are some of the cool places to check out. The Hard Rock Cafe is a nice place to come for lunch as well. Parking is validated for 2 hours at some of the restaurants here as well. Come sightsee and explore.
Moreso many shops shutted and closed down.dirty area and so many homeless persons around the area which was sad to see. smell of urine on the streets.
MoreOpen air mall not many food choices. Dolby theatre on property and TCL Chinese theater in front of mall. This is very busy , and crazy environment, nice to see history. Has a view of the Hollywood sign on 3 Rd level bridge, but still small view for pics.
