We are a New York based Catering/Personal Chef specializing in Southern cooking. Nowhere else will you find better Soul Food than with Big Al's Soul & Catering. It is also the Home of "Supremely The Best Bread Pudding". Al "Chef Q" Quattlebaum has been cooking for over over 25 years and got his passion for cooking from his beloved mother Thelma "Lady Q" Quattlebaum. She passed on her love for cooking to Chef Q when he was just 7 years old. She would have him in the kitchen as her "little helper. Even though Chef Q loved to cook, he did not realize he had a gift until he moved to Los Angeles and he would throw BBQ's parties and people would say "man you need to be in someone's restaurant cooking up these meals". It was then Chef Q started cooking for people around town and now known as the King of Soul Food(#kingofsoulfood). In 2000 Chef Q moved to New York where he met and married Gail and he went to the Culinary Academy of New York in 2004 he studied Culinary Cooking after he graduated in 2006 he start Big Al's Soul & Catering.
