We visit this area often. It’s so beautiful and almost all places are dog friendly. This is important ui us as our Goldendoodle Henry travels with us. There are so many restaurants to visit and all have friendly service and great tasting food.

Superior service in the Lodge restaurant. All employees were helpful....and tho busy,every one we encountered were friendly and smiled

If you love fishing, this is the spot!My son and I visited here in March 2024 and did 5 days of intense fishing.We rented kayaks and toured all around this island; channels, rivers, bays, mangroves, and ocean - it’s full of fish!The locals are helpful if you’re nice to them.

A nice Monday morning drive. We crossed over to the island and drove down to Saint James City and then on up to Bokeelia. Damage from the hurricane is very evident on the island but the recovery is underway. Plenty of shops to stop at and some restaurants are open. The island has many farm fields and feels more rural than a tropical island.
