Average trip. We arrived at approximately 8 am and made our way towards the entrance of the trail. We opted to hike the Yellow MTB and Sugar Bush Loop Trail, which was a roughly 4.1 mile loop trail around the park. The trail was moderate in nature and consisted of walking on a narrow dirt surface for a majority of the walk. There were several sections of incline/decline, and we did cross several bridges. The trail was monotonous at times and consisted of walking through a forest, with occasional views of the stream.Tip: I recommend spending 2 hours here if you truly want to see everything.

Great trails in the Royal View area. Elevation with views of stream and valleys. Some nice shale cliffs. Enjoyable to hike in all seasons.

Many scenic hilly trails to hike in all seasons. Nice place to get away and enjoy all that nature has to offer. I come here often to take in the scenery and take photos.

Don’t do it. They literally must have two toboggans because the time between people going down the chute is so RIDICULOUSLY long that they must be letting a group go down and then are waiting for the same toboggan to come back up. It is fun but NOT worth waiting. It’s taking about five minutes between each set of riders for them to release another set of sleds. Unreal.

The local user or the casual visitor can find much to do here. The excellent bicycle trail interconnects with the overall Metroparks trail system and facilitates rides both long and short. There is a hiking trail that takes one into the heart of the old Berea sandstone area. That feature is no longer visible, but there are hints of its past existence. One can rent canoes and paddle boats at the Coe Lake cafeteria. There are ball fields and grassy stretches for pickup games as well. Fishing is not that prevalent anymore with the silting in of Baldwin Lake by the Rocky River. The facilities and roads are extremely well maintained and always have been in this reviewers more than forty years experience with this parkland area.
