Housing the largest collection of Salvador Dali works in the world, the museum offers a regularly changing exhibit of the legendary surrealist artist's melting-watch canvases and a wide variety of his sculpture and fiber objects that are, at the very least, intriguing. One memorable creation toasts the cocktail party; it is a vest covered with full glasses of creme de menthe. Daily tours seek to explain this complex man and his equally complex art. Awesome architecture and exposition. I have the feeling that before they built this Museum, I saw the display in a warehouse that used to be by the aquarium. Seems to me that there are some other paintings that were outstanding and really took my breath away even thought I was not a Dali fan. Maybe I am remembering wrong. Anyway wish I had more time to peruse each piece slowly. Greatly recommend
MoreFirst visit to the museum following a recommendation by a friend I didnt like (understand!) Dali as a painter beforehand.Thankfully we took the guided tour with Arthur. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a mine of information to explain and interprete the paintings.Having seen the paintings up close the detail and technical skill supported by Arthur's expertise has made me a convert!Arthur then went above and beyond (after the tour had ended) by taking some us into the other gallery to help answer questions and queries that had arisen from the group.Thank you Arthur for making this an excellent visit for us.

MoreAdmission is pricey, but the collection of Dalí works is large and the building itself is a work of art. The paintings and other pieces span his whole career. Nothing too famous, but plenty to see if you are a fan of Dalí. There are even pieces of jewelry he designed. We spent 4 hours there, but we also had lunch and visited the dome. Cafe is pretty good. Dome is not worth the extra fee in my opinion.
