Print: A Bookstore graces Portland's coastal East End with its presence. With a selection of books across genres, the USP of this bookstore lies in dedicating and featuring the works of Maine authors and has thus, carved a niche for itself among Portland's other bookstores. This brainchild of Emily Ruso, the daughter of Pulitzer Prize winning novelist, Richard Russo and Josh Christie is frequented by the author himself and is a bonanza for bibliophiles. The classic ambiance characterized by spacious windows and neatly arranged book shelves is also home to a number of local book launches. Thus, Print also lends itself as a vibrant event space for book readings and talks actively. Walk into your favorite author's book or enjoy a literary trip at the events or both at Print.

tripadvisorOne of the owners of Print has been who I buy books from for almost twenty years. I've never left his bookstore disappointed...or empty handed. Even better I've never felt judged for book selections I went in and made on my own. And he's had no qualms about ordering books for me that I wanted. That he's willing to help folks in our community combat racism and discrimination is just another positive feather in his cap. I wouldn't trade his services for the world.
MoreWe liked the Halloween decor in the window display (especially the skeleton with the PRINT logo t-shirt and hat), but what drew us in was their excellent selection of books. When I'm in the area, I always enjoy stopping in here (as you can see from previous reviews).
MoreI was looking for a 2025 wall calendar while there were still some good ones to be had, and I found one at PRINT. They had a few nice holiday decorations up and some nice gift items. Their book selection is always great.
MoreWhile walking around the Munjoy Hill area, we gravitated toward PRINT to check out the latest best sellers and other items. They had a great winter beanie that said 'BOOKS' that I think I'm going to go back for before the cold sets in.
MoreThis Indie shop has it all. A well curated stock with plenty of choices, helpful friendly staff who know their stuff, plus the usual bookstore ephemera. Street parking. Support your local Independent Bookseller!
