tripadvisorGreat small museum of Tony Foster's fantastic watercolors from his many journeys. The paintings are so much better in person than online and the mission of the artist and the museum to support and preserve the wild places of earth is so important. And it's free! Highest recommendation for a 1-2 hour visit.
MoreWhat a jewel of a museum! Tony Foster is not only a wonderful artist with a deep connection to nature in all of its beauty, but also an inspiration to get out and see the natural world around us (whether in our own backyards or around the world). Highly recommend checking out this collection, which is wonderfully curated and displayed... and even better, it is free! We spent around 2 hours and could have spent more. The museum was not too full but even at the height of the crowd, they were well distributed throughout the extensive footprint of the exhibition. The staff who greeted us and took our questions were passionate and knowledgeable. This is great for adults and kids alike.
MoreWhat a gem! A friend told me about it, was not aware. On an unassuming street in industrial area in sharp contrast to beauty of art ! I loved his comments and annotations. Beautifully curated display with great signage.
MoreWhat a wonderful small museum/gallery, showing the works of a remarkable watercolor artist. The space, the presentations, the artist’s notes and the staff make it “DO NOT MISS” when in the area.
MoreBeautiful space in beautiful Palo Alto. Tony Foster's Journeys are a striking and important blend of art, geographical exploration, and nature. The Foster offers a very accessible educational experience for ALL AGES. Warm, welcoming, and highly-knowledgeable staff. The Foster is a gem in the SF-Bay area. Support them!
