tripadvisorWe spent two amazing days in Yellowstone with Matthew as our tour guide. This was an incredibly educational and memorable tourThis trip was my husband‘s bucket list trip. He’s much more into nature than I am. I originally thought that I would just sit in the back of the van and read a book while he went off to enjoy the sites and wildlife in the park. However, with Matthew as our energetic enthusiastic guide, I couldn’t help but be swept up in his enthusiasm for the beauty and majesty of Yellowstone Park. He continued to check in with us throughout the two days we were with him to make sure that we got to see everything we wanted to see inside Yellowstone. On day one we explored the amazing landscapes and sites of Yellowstone, including Old Faithful. We saw geysers, hot springs, mud pots, etc.. We were lucky enough at one spot to get a tip about some wolves on a kill and Matthew quickly changed our itinerary to make sure we got to experience this wolf up close. On day two we saw fox, owls, a grizzly, elk, bison. Matthew educated us on the conservation and care that is taken to protect this national treasure.I would highly recommend Yellowstone Wild as a tour group and recommend Matthew as a tour guide.
MoreWhat a fantastic visit we had to Yellowstone with Yellowstone Wild! Our guide Aleksa was with us all 3 days and was phenomenal. She organized our days based on what we wanted to see, insights from wildlife trackers, the weather and the crowds and our visit could not have been better. Not only did we get to see amazing wildlife, views and geothermal phenomena, Aleksa provided background and insights that really enhanced our experience. There were no questions she could not answer and her passion for nature and her role as our guide made it an exceptional experience. We would definitely recommend Yellowstone Wild for guide services and ask for Aleksa!
MoreHad a fantastic trip with Kyle and Yellowstone Wild today. Highlight was watching two grizzlies and five wolves feeding on an elk carcass. Just incredible. Also saw gray owl fly right past us, bighorn sheep, elk, and really enjoyed watching the tiny pica! Kyle was both very knowledgeable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
MoreBooked a wolf and bear watching tour for my wife’s birthday on October 5th. We had reasonable expectations about the wildlife, I have to say Jesse was amazing the took us straight out to where wolves had taken down a buffalo a day or to earlier. First came the wolves, then a grizzly, then came the coyotes. She had her scopes set up so we could seek everything. We moved on to other sites where we saw big horn sheep mountain goats. A huge bull moose. It was a day we will talk about for years to come Be sure to ask for Jesse. I was expecting a Grizzly Adams type guide but got adventure Barbie instead. She is a fantastic woodswoman. Incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the wildlife of the park.
MoreWe are a couple in our early 60’s travelling from the UK. We are very fortunate that 2026 saw our second visit to Yellowstone NP and the pleasure of Yellowstone Wild hosting us a second time after being extremely happy with their services in 2024. On that occasion we booked a private wolf watching tour and were blessed to have observed in peace, viewing through scopes, the entire Junction Butte pack. And not just a few snatched moments. We spent a lot of time and there was no rush. Precious memories for sure. Yellowstone Wild knew where to go because they’re professionals. Which is why we had no hesitation in asking them to help with a private hiking tour into the back country that we were keen to undertake. We specifically wanted to hike the Hell Roaring creek trail down to the confluence with the Yellowstone River. But wanted to avoid the inevitable argument of ‘are we going the right way’ or worse still getting lost! Tyrene helped in the first instance, patiently answering all my questions regarding the suitability of the hike versus our capabilities and expectations. We requested Laura to be our guide as she had led our previous tour. We’d felt confident and comfortable in her company and it was no different this time round. Friendly and chatty but all the time aware of the surroundings. Be that watching for changing weather, pointing out flowers and bird life, scanning the horizon for wildlife or answering our questions. We enjoyed a generous lunch at the confluence and plenty of snacks and beverages were supplied. The hike itself was absolutely stunning! A fabulous day and a part of Yellowstone that we would have missed. And we’d have been the losers. Thank you Laura and Yellowstone Wild for another successful tour and memories that will last a lifetime. You’re a safe pair of hands and I have no hesitation in recommending you. You’re the best!
