tripadvisorHistoric Kenwood is a distinct neighborhood with new construction and historic homes. The Kenwood B&B is an iconic landmark amid several restaurants and bars. The district sits one block north of the busy Central Ave. in St Pete. The Seminole park offers a great spot for kids with 2 different climbing playgrounds, a lending library, 2 covered pavilions that can be rented. And bike rental station. The park is surrounded by a wide accessible walkable for all. Another area is the dog park near I275 With shaded areas for dogs of all sizes and most social skill levels. What us amazing is that I didn’t 3 hurricanes here and Historic Kenwood was spared damage with just some owed lossGreat venue to but, rent, room share, walk, and just steps to Central Avenue action
MoreHistoric Kenwood is a unique, close knit residential area in St. Petersburg. New construction has not pushed out the historic bungalows, some still totally original and some refurbished to maintain the historical features. The area offers an Artist Enclave with Studio Tour, annual Bungalow Tour, a variety of artist activities. The monthly bulletin lists upcoming artist and neighborhood events like Halloween, Studio Tours, Founder's Day celebration in March, a month-long dining initiative to benefit the Public Arts Institute, walking tours, and Artist of the Month. The area has a dog park with great parking. The Seminole Park offers playgrounds on astroturf, picnic areas, a large green space, a grown up lending library, and a children's lending library. The area emphasizes conservation and nature.the Kenwood Gables bed and breakfast is an example of a restored historic home that is more than an inn. The owners are integral in the arts initiative. The area borders Central Avenue with some eateries and shoppes. Interestingly, during the last 3 hurricanes, most of Historic Kenwood has incurred very little hurricane damage compared to other parts of town.

MoreThe area has an historic feel to it - brick roadside and sidewalks made of pavers (uneven pavers, so be careful not to trip). It's walking distance to restaurants and a park and beach and other attractions in the downtown area. Parking is a bit challenging if you don't have a resident pass. All in all, a very good location when visiting St. Petersburg.
MoreWalk around Kenwood..many different styles of homes..lovely parks. Great easy walks to restaurants. Neighborhood is beautiful..parts of it are being sold. Big ugly apt condo things being put in right in between lovely homes. The area is moving up price wise..but it is a bit close to some high crime. Bad areas
