Franceschi Park Park

Providing stunning vistas of the city, this park is not a very prominent tourist destination. This facility which stretches 15 acres, is underrated as it is a great place for day outings. Families and friends can come here for picnicking, as they offer picnic tables and public restrooms here. Once the shelter of renowned Botanist and Horticulturist, Francesco Franceschi, the park showcases ample and diverse varieties of plants and trees. You can find many cedar, pine trees, seasonal fruits and flowers here.

The park offers a. beautiful view of Santa Barbara. It’s history is interesting and impressive but it is sad to see that the city has not taken care of the property and the beautiful gardens that once surrounded it. The drive up the mountains winding roads was a bit challenging but well worth it.

I was really enjoying the view it was amazing but once I walked by the house and saw the statue of the little boy then I started to have visions of snakes & mountain Lions jumping out at me I had creepy vibes I honestly believe that house is haunted but I also noticed that the guest house is being occupied I believe the care taker lives there as there was Christmas lights on and evidence of it being occupied

Go here for the view. It is a small park open from dawn to dusk with amazing views of Santa Barbara.

This is a great Sta Barbara walk up winding streets and connecting stairs to bring you to the heights overlooking the city. Envigorating and worthwhile, a walking trek beings you closer to the nature of hte city and its origins.

My famous 50 minute driving tour for out of town guests includes this so that the guest can get a bird's eye view of the main sections of the city. Recent improvements removed the bushes that previously blocked part of the view. No big grassy lawn, perched as the park is on a steep hillside accessed from a steep roadway. Reminds me why I pay the big bucks to live hear.
