Bandemer Park on the north side of Ann Arbor along the Huron River has ample space for picnicking, hiking, biking, fishing, canoe/kayaking, photography, disc golf - this park can host it all. There is also a fire pit that can be reserved for cookouts. The rowing crews can often be sighted on the river, which makes for some nice photos. Canoe/kayak rental and a boat launch are available. There is a fishing pier near the overpass bridge, as well as several favorite spots throughout the park along the river. Hiking trails connect through the forest into several bordering nature areas as well as into the downtown and Kerrytown neighborhoods. Lots of interesting walking paths.
