Great free visit. Open at 9AM and take photo ID. 27th floor is an outside walk around the building with great views and guide to what you're seeing. It takes 3 elevators to reach. Don't leave without visiting 3rd floor for amazing architecture.

Great experience to view the city for free from the roof of City Hall. A local man informed of this free sight. Staff friendly in the city hall and taking two express elevators to the Tom Bradbury room provided sights of the whole of the city. Ensure you take id and this is an amazing experience. Don’t forget to look at the rotunda on the 3rd floor as well

While sightseeing downtown LA, stopped here to go up to the observation tower for views of the city. After going through security and signing in, you proceed up via an express elevation and then another elevation. You can walk around the entire outdoor deck for photos of downtown. There are location maps of what you are looking at on each side of the deck. There are also portraits for all the LA mayors. The rotunda ceiling was also nice.

Sent an email twice to get a tour time, then called and they said they are doing tours. Gave me a phone number which gave me voice mail. No one callled back. Said they had self guided tours so we went anyway. Self guided means you go up to Observation Deck look at a picture to see what the surrounding buildings are. TAKE A PASS.
