tripadvisorThe Timucua Arts Foundation is a true gem in Central Florida! I have visited Timucua twice! I saw a spoken-word performance by Lydia Lunch and Chaz Underriner's concert during the Timucua Arts' International Guitar Festival. The nonprofit organization is celebrating its 25-year anniversary! The cozy, concert hall is located in a home and nestled next to Boone High in the Lancaster Park neighborhood in south Orlando. The staff is friendly and provides a warm and inviting atmosphere to its guests!
MoreThe City Beautiful is so extraordinary if you venture out and see what it has in store for you. Nowhere is this more apparent than at Timucua, which offers a plethora of events for serious arts lovers. For most of us living in Orlando, it's right here where we live, and to not take advantage of it is a cardinal sin.For an introduction, I highly recommend attending an Energy Wheel performance on the first Wednesday of any given month, which is an extraordinary sound bath experience that's truly unique in this world and will have you connected to whatever intention that may be top of mind. This is the opposite of Disney, it's that great.
MoreVery cool place to come and hang. We saw the awesome Orlando Gay Chorus her a couple of times. We will be stopping in for more shows soon. Keep up the good work.
MoreI had never heard of this place... and then on FB I saw a favorite brother band (Roman Street) I knew from Fairhope, AL was going to play there. So I looked into it and bought tickets and had friends that bought tickets as well. I had waited over 6 years to see them again and thought FL would be a great place for them to get exposure. I drove by the place to see the location and know the lay of the land. When we went, it was just a wonderful intimate setting in a private home and I couldn't have loved it more. Perfect set-up to introduce Orlando to these guys. The owners are doing wonderful things (for the last 19 years as it turns out). Regular members brought wine and hors d'oeuvres and everyone was very friendly. I encourage anyone reading this to check it out :-) It's very cool!
MoreIf you love music and art...this place should be on your radar! Always the highest quality of performance with a wide variety of styles! Players from around the world know of this very special place- go to a concert and hear for yourself!
