tripadvisorI would drive up from the front range again to visit this theatre. I have NEVER seen such a jewel of an old theatre. It was free (everything in the beautiful historic town is free. Bring cash as there are tip jars everywhere!)
MoreI was in Victor a few years back and wanted to go to the Isis, but it was not open that day. I the 50's my folks actually owned and operated the Isis. My mom used to tell the story that when I was about three or four they had a problem getting one of the projectors to work and unbeknownst to them I got up on the stage and entertained the audience! Not sure what I would have done at that age but my mom tells me I had the place roaring and most importantly it gave them time to get the projector working!
MoreWalked by a rundown theater while me and the husband enjoyed a lovely walk thru the streets of victor
MoreThis is a beautiful little town with so much history. We had lunch at a german deli and then walked the streets to read the information. So many historic buildings the look as if they are in the process of restoring. We were in off season so much was not open. We did stop at the visitor center and was told about the mining at the operating mine which has created many jobs for the area. Gold mining is such a process. A lot of history to be enjoyed in this town!
MoreVictor is probably the worst town I have ever been too. I liked the theatre, but the people are very rude and mean in this town. I can't believe how they treat foreigners.
