tripadvisorThe Northtown Dog Park which is part of this big park. There are many things to do at this park for people of all ages but because it was mostly just me and my dog we spent a great deal of time at the off leash park. There is a water fountain at the entrance to the off leash area that is for people and pets. The first gate leads to a totally fenced in area with a gate for little dogs (under 25lbs) and another gate for big dogs (over 26lbs). Each side is fully fenced and has jumps, tunnels ramps and other things for your dog to try. We met some great people and dogs. This was the closest off leash park to where I was staying but it was still a 20 minute drive each way so we didn't go every day but we did go a few times a week each month that we were in Texas. The park is at 14401 Harris Ridge Blvd in Plugerville.
MoreStoney Creek is a park run by the Northtown Municipal Utilities District and the Lower Colorado River Authority. This huge park is tucked away between several neighborhoods so it is a little difficult to find. Lots of trails that are a paved and natural surface mix. Huge disc golf course throughout the park with some of the longest holes I have ever seen on such a course. There are restrooms a playscape and picnic shelter. Quincy and I walked about a mile + of the trails. But of course one of the main features of this park had his interest the off leash dog park. This fenced area of about an acre was very nice and clean. There is a section for large dogs and small dogs. Since there were three dogs in the large section I set little buddy loose in the small dog section where he had a big time chasing the other dogs up and down the dividing fence. Great place to spend the morning.
