This is a beautiful trail. We went for the North Country Trail out of Mellen ( Copper Falls State Park) and also did part of the Doughboy Trail. Today was a perfect day weather wise to walk the trail. Just beautiful and well kept. It did take us about 1.5 hours to do the full loop with stops for pictures.

7/9/2024 My dog, Odin and I have been walking this technically still unopened part of this trail since spring. We have walked the 3 segments, Pixley Falls to Latteiman Rd in Steuben, NY!What a beautiful gem this trail segment is…Very well carved out and improved! Thank you to all responsible in its creation!

The part of the North Country trail we did is actually called the Brule Boardwalk, and the trailhead is just north of Solon Springs in Northern Wisconsin. The trail really is a boardwalk that takes you through some very wet and marshy areas. Not recommended at high bug time in the summer months. It was beautiful in the winter with some snow. We hiked almost four and a half miles, out and back, through heavily wooded areas and more open land as well.
