Brookside is a historic area in Tulsa that today is a major shopping destination in the city. The area was once Creek Indian land and cattle country before being transformed in the 1920s to the neighborhood that it is today, with many buildings that feature stunning Art Deco architecture. Buildings to take not of are the Brook Theater building, which today houses The Brook Restaurant and Bar, the local favorite Claude's Hamburgers, and the Brookside Broadcast Center. Brookside Farmers' Market takes place in the neighborhood every Wednesday from April until October.
