My husband and I took our dog here every morning to exercise. He loved all the trails and especially loved running off lease. There are sections where a leash is required but everyone seems to keep it off. From the preserve, you can walk down to Cliff Street and then to the beach, which includes an off leash section. There was plenty of parking on the local streets.

It's a small but nice area to hike or walk with views to the ocean. Parking is at end of streets butting up to the preserve.

Beautiful day, spectacular views. Our dog loved greeting the many other dogs. It's a nice walk and low stress. I found one of the two geocaches hidden there.

As everyone else has stated, the views are lovely, and it's a nice place to go for a stroll if you're in the area. Would I make a special trip just to visit again? Probably not. It's a very short trail, and the unleashed dogs wasn't my cup of tea. But it's a very scenic spot and a nice quiet place to relax away from the crowds.

This place is incredible! One of the best coastal hiking spots I’ve visited! It seems huge and has tons or trails and offshoots to explore. I can’t wait to come back and check them all out!There’s a decent map of the trails and park right at the entrance. I suggest taking a pic of it to reference while hiking as there are so many trails, but it definitely seems like an easy place to find your way out of even without the map. I was kinda short on time so I opted to head straight to the coastal part. After the entrance, I turned left and made it to the ocean cliffs in no time! It’s a very shaded path - lots of lovely coastal oaks and pines! And lots of huge old fallen trees by the cliffs to sit on and enjoy the view. And supposedly you can walk to Arroyo Burro beach from the preserve but I didn’t try due to time constraints. Will definitely give it a go on my next visit!This place is super dog friendly...there are areas where they can be off-leash and they provide water spouts for them at some points as well! For being so dog-friendly, it was very clean so all the dog owners are very considerate and respectful! I entered at the Borton Dr entrance...parking is in a very residential area and is all street parking. You most likely will be parking in front of someone’s house. I didn’t see any signs to indicate parking was not allowed and there’s no designated parking lot. Based on the map, it looks like there’s another entrance at Medcliff Dr.
