Another terrific NY state park. Breathtaking views of the Hudson, covered picnic area, portapotties, ample parking, nicely marked and well maintained trails at several levels. The birding was terrific, even well past migration.

While this is listed as an easy walk that is if you only go on the trails near the river. If you follow all the trails into the woods the walk can offer some challenges, inclines and declines and rocky paths. We walked 2.5 miles of trails, lovely sites and bug free walk. Noted frogs along the way and a snake! Good choice, go early if possible.

Beautiful out of the way park. Multiple trails to hike or just sit and watch the numerous songbirds.

This site provides pleasant hikes of varying length through mature forest, with access to overlooks of the Hudson River. There are some rather steep inclines and narrow pathways up and down the ridges within the preserve. There are also two shelters - one near the parking area, and one at the landing provided for kayakers and canoeists travelling the Hudson.

My family and I went down for a picnic near the water. Beautiful area, nice easy walk for young kids. I recommend if you want to get fresh air.
